SCIENCE & INNOVATION

Where nearly a century of science meets the future of longevity

At Clinique La Prairie, science has always come first. From our origins on the shores of Lake Geneva to the research ecosystem we build today, our approach to longevity rests on a single conviction: every protocol we offer must be grounded in evidence, refined with time, and designed to protect health before it is lost.

Today, that conviction drives a complete innovation ecosystem. It includes an in-house Life Science Team, an independent scientific committee, a dedicated investment fund, and partnerships with pioneering research and technology companies. Together, they work at the intersection of biology, technology and preventive medicine to bring the next generation of longevity care to our guests.

A HERITAGE OF
SCIENTIFIC FIRST

For nearly a century, Clinique La Prairie has pushed the boundaries of preventive medicine and longevity. What began with Dr. Paul Niehans’ pioneering work in cellular therapy has grown into a continuous tradition of innovation, in which each generation of our medical and scientific teams builds on the discoveries of the last.

From our signature Revitalisation programme to the most advanced diagnostics, regenerative approaches and personalised protocols, we have always sought to translate the latest science into care that helps our guests live longer, healthier lives.

OUR INNOVATION
ENGINE

At the core of our ecosystem is the Life Science Team, a group of longevity experts who translate the latest scientific findings into applied, personalised care.

The team designs our longevity programmes and protocols, develops our supplements and assessment tools, and evaluates new health technologies.

Its mission is to make sure that everything we offer is rooted in current scientific evidence, clinically validated, and built for long-term preventive impact across the four pillars of longevity: Medical, Nutrition, Movement and Wellbeing.

Independent
Scientific Committee

Our independent scientific committee brings together leading international experts in ageing, biosciences, preventive medicine and ethics. Its role is to support and challenge our medical and scientific development, keeping our work anchored in strong biomedical evidence and aligned with the world’s leading research institutions.

The committee:
- Guides our scientific strategy and innovation roadmap
- Shares insight into global longevity research trends
- Upholds the highest standards of scientific rigour and ethical practice

Longevity Fund by
Clinique La Prairie

The Longevity Fund positions Clinique La Prairie not only as a provider of longevity solutions, but as a contributor to the future of the field itself.

The fund invests in early-stage companies and breakthrough technologies that aim to transform how we age and extend healthspan across the four pillars of longevity.

By connecting scientific exploration with real-world application, it reflects our long-term commitment to advancing longevity innovation worldwide.

TWO HOUSES,
ONE HERITAGE

Long before longevity became a science, it was a vision born on the shores of Lake Geneva. From this shared origin, Clinique La Prairie and La Prairie have each pursued, in their own way, the same ideal: to preserve the vitality of life at its very source.

Today, the two houses are united in a partnership devoted to the art of longevity. Within our programmes, La Prairie’s most refined skin longevity innovations accompany our guests as a natural extension of our holistic approach, reflecting the belief that skin, too, expresses cellular health.

Looking ahead, both houses will continue to explore, with patience and precision, new ways to extend the art of living well.

Strategic
Partnerships

We collaborate with research centres, universities, medical institutions and technology pioneers across Europe and beyond. These partnerships accelerate discovery and testing, and help move exploratory research into clinically meaningful applications for our guests. Our research ecosystem is strengthened by our collaboration with Biopôle Lausanne, a leading Swiss life sciences hub.

LATEST PARTNERSHIPS
& INVESTMENTS

  • INVESTMENTS | Volumina

Volumina is a clinical-stage medtech company that has developed AdiPearl™, an injectable cellulose-based biomaterial designed to stimulate the body to regenerate its own adipose tissue and restore facial volume. It offers a non-surgical alternative to fat grafting, with long-lasting, natural-looking results.

By supporting Volumina, we help bring regenerative technologies to market that serve healthspan, aesthetic rejuvenation and biological vitality.

  • PARTNERSHIPS | GlycanAge

GlycanAge is a biotechnology company and a pioneer in the study of IgG glycosylation, a key regulatory mechanism of the immune system. By analysing the sugar structures (glycans) attached to immunoglobulin G, it shows how the immune system shifts between pro- and anti-inflammatory states.

Through our exclusive partnership, GlycanAge provides a systemic inflammation score based on each guest’s IgG glycan profile. It offers insight into low-grade chronic inflammation, a central driver of biological ageing and age-related disease. As a modifiable biomarker, it supports prevention, follow-up and the personalisation of every intervention..

  • PARTNERSHIPS | Zora Biosciences

Zora Biosciences specialises in lipidomics, with a focus on bioactive lipids such as ceramides, which play a central role in cardiometabolic health. Its research has led to advanced ceramide-based indexes that refine cardiovascular risk assessment beyond the standard cholesterol profile.

Clinique La Prairie was the first clinic to offer CERT2, Zora’s ceramide-based cardiovascular risk assessment. CERT2 analyses specific ceramide and phospholipid ratios associated with vascular inflammation, plaque instability and cardiometabolic dysfunction.

  • PARTNERSHIPS | Genknowme

Genknowme is a Lausanne-based epigenetics company specialising in DNA methylation analysis. Its work shows how lifestyle, environment, physiological stress and ageing influence gene expression.
Our partnership began in 2020 and has brought epigenetic biomarkers into our longevity assessments, including several exclusives, such as being the first clinic to offer Genknowme’s epigenetic stress test. Guests can also measure their epigenetic age, a molecular indicator of biological ageing based on DNA methylation patterns.

The collaboration now with Clinique La Prairie extends beyond diagnostics, with Genknowme endorsing Epinome, our Holistic Health supplement designed to support epigenetic health.

  • PARTNERSHIPS | AudioVitality

AudioVitality is a Swiss technology company specialising in vibroacoustic sound therapy. Its proprietary RubesaSounds® technology uses highly structured low-frequency sound waves to create dual stimulation: through the auditory system, and through vibrations felt across the body. Engaging both neural and physiological pathways, it promotes deep relaxation, autonomic balance and recovery.

Clinique La Prairie was the first to introduce AudioVitality within a clinical longevity setting. Sessions are now integrated into several of our programmes to support stress reduction and vitality.
